The house, of rare charme, was born after a happy and careful restoration of a Gallura “stazzo”: a typical Gallura country house.
Made entirely of granite blocks, the stazzo dates back to the mid 19th century, when this beautiful region of Sardinia was inhabited by families mostly from Corsica, so much that Corsican and Gallura inhabitants still speak a very similar dialect.
The house is surrounded by a land of five thousands square meters, dotted with splendid granite rocks and it’s covered by a thick Mediterranean vegetation characterized by junipers, olive trees and mastic trees, many of which are centenaries.
From the highest portion of the land, you can enjoy a view that sweeps from Capo d’Orso to la Maddalena and nearby Corsica.
The covered area is 133 sqm, and includes tree bedrooms ( two doubles, one with fireplace and dressing room ), two bathrooms with tub and shower, a kitchen with fireplace, a very welcoming living room, a livable outdoor patio throughout the year, and an ancient bread oven in the garden.
The unique atmosphere, with ancient flavors gives this house a soul comparale to few others.
The stazzo is located in the Arzachena municipality, and it’s only six kilometers from Costa Smeralda.
A few hundred meters away there is a tourist port and marvelous sandy beaches.
